Irish Mathematical Society AGM 2016

The Annual General Meeting of the society took place on
Tuesday 20th December at 3:30pm in University College Dublin. Moore Auditorium, Science East (map)

All members were invited. The date was auspicious in that it was the 40th anniversary of the first meeting of the society which was held in Trinity College on 20th December 1976.

Officer and committee positions for 2017 will be filled at the AGM pursuant to Article 12 of the society's constitution (viewable on the left). Nominations, which must be seconded, will be taken from the floor. The committee encourages all members to take part in the electoral process in order to ensure fair representation of the membership as a whole.

Following the AGM (and tea break), at 6pm there will be an IMS lecture: A Painless Overview of the Riemann Hypothesis (Proof omitted) by Professor Peter Lynch
