Title: Rwanda Math Olympiad

Abstract
In this talk we will give an
overview of the Rwanda Math Olympiad program, from 2019's first camp,
to consistently performing top of sub-saharan African at the
International Mathematics Olympiad and Pan-African Mathematics
Olympiad. We will discuss how a focus on inclusion, equity and access
has helped us to build a selection process that reaches over 30,000
students each year, across approximately half the high schools in
Rwanda. We have a strong pipeline of talented students. and so far
every year, out of the top 6 students, 2 have been female. Our
students are mainly taught by a team of Rwandan coaches, past camp
participants and undergrad students.
I will also give a brief
introduction to Rwanda, the African Institute for Mathematical
Sciences, and some opportunities for collaboration.
